This book also contains a lot of information on the Principles of Teaching and Learning test. It was in excellent condition. This book was received in adequate time. However, if you are looking for help with the Content knowledge test, this book does not cover it as well. I found it to be most helpful with the PPST test I was preparing for. There is a lot of information inside, and the practice tests were valuable. I would definitely buy a book from this seller again. Thanks.
I received a 178 in Math, 179 in Reading and I'm still waiting on my Writing score, which I believe I did well on also. I am going through lateral entry and have not had any prior content knowledge for the Praxis I before I took it (other than middle school classes which were 10 years ago). This book is genius. Definitely purchase, it's worth it for the price. I studied a couple days a week for a few weeks and this book really helped bring everything back to mind for me. I focused mostly on the practice test questions which helped me the most (I rarely reviewed the formulas and recommendations on how to study and retain the knowledge). PS - only the last half of this book is dedicated to the Praxis II (general knowledge, nothing specific). If you are looking for assistance with the Praxis II, I don't recommend this book, get another study guide that focuses directly in your Praxis II test subject.
This is an excellent guide to use to prepare you for the Praxis test for teachers. It is full of sample tests and shows you how to register, what to except on the test, what to study, and how to study. Great product, I would recommend purchasing this item to anyone.
I am very pleased with the amount of time I waited to receive this item. It was shipped quickly and I received it within a few days of making the purchase.
I practiced the previous tests given religiously, and I memorized all of the formulas suggested in this book. I purchased the Praxis Official Guide 2008 in preparation for the Praxis I exam. Although the reading and writing sections were similiar to the sample tests in this guide, the math section did not scratch the surface of the types of problems I was confronted with.In fact, I read and reread the preparation tips several times. I went into the testing area feeling confident and prepared, and left the examination feeling overwhelmed and defeated.I'm still waiting for a response from ETS.org regarding this situation. My suggestion is to look for other resources to properly prepare yourself for the Praxis I.
